  1. Installing infrared panels?

One of the indisputable advantages of heating with infrared rays is the extraordinary simplicity of installing the radiator. What is needed to install infrared panels? How to hang them so that they work optimally? Welcome to the short guide!

The principle of operation of infrared panels

A few words of introduction to introduce the principle of operation of infrared panels. Heating with infrared radiation can be compared in the shortest and easiest way to the action of the sun's rays on human skin.

The human body is made up of 60-70% water. Solar radiation emitted by a luminous star from the sky reaches us in the form of two types of waves: visible, thanks to which we enjoy the view of colors, and invisible, bringing warmth to the earth. The range of invisible waves is below (infra from Latin: below) the perception of the human eye, in the regions of the red spectrum. Hence the commonly used name of infrared radiation - IR, infrared or infrarot.

Infrared radiation directly heats the water molecules under the skin, not the surrounding air.

We will repeat it again, because it is especially important: the infrared radiation emitted by the sun acts first on objects within its range, not on the air.

Why is this fact so important?

Because it is a major advantage over conventional radiator heating.

A traditional radiator heats the masses of air around it with its warmth, which, together with a cloud of dust from the depths of the radiator, travel through the entire room, spreading heat and particles irritating the respiratory system.

Effect?

  • Cold feet and a hot head - hot air accumulates near the ceiling and has a much lower temperature near the floor

  • Uneven distribution of temperature in the room - hot near the radiator, and the farther away, the colder

  • Constant circulation of air masses, and hence dust and allergens

  • Dried air, i.e. scratchy throat, feeling of dryness in the upper respiratory tract, seasonal diseases, lack of comfort during sleep

  • Mold and fungus behind the furniture on the walls, because the heat from the radiator does not reach there

What are the advantages of heating with infrared panels? H2

Infrared heating works by converting electrical energy into heat.

As mentioned earlier, infrared radiation heats objects within their range.

For this reason, we avoid the phenomenon of convection, i.e. the movement of air to heat the room.

  • The temperature in the room is a few degrees lower, which does not affect the thermal comfort of people staying in the room

  • Lower temperature means wetter air, and this positive is quickly noted by people suffering from a dried respiratory system

  • Lower temperature means real lower heating costs

  • Dust particles and mites do not wander around the room all the time, which does not cause suffering to allergy sufferers

  • No costs resulting from laying the heating system

  • No chimneys, furnaces and burning fossil fuels (gas, coal, wood), and thus, cleaner air and less smog

  • Small size radiators

  • Possibility of aesthetic masking of heating panels

  • Simplicity of assembly

We will dwell on the last point a little longer.

How to install infrared panels?

Infrared panels can be mounted on any flat wall or ceiling surface. Radiators can imitate mirrors, paintings or aesthetic photographs. The only condition is to provide access to an electrical outlet or lay cables inside the walls.

Installing infrared panels is as easy as hanging a picture on the wall. All you need is the ability to use a drill, level and screwing the dowels into the drilled hole.

In the selected place, use a spirit level to mark the places to drill the holes for the dowels. You can use a template cut out of the cardboard to better visualize the appearance of the panels on the wall.

Drill holes, screw in the plugs provided by the manufacturer and hang the panel. Job done!

Now all you have to do is connect to the power supply and you can enjoy the private sun in your room.
